Supporting Our Nursery Schools With Essential Learning Materials

The Wasambo Education Foundation (WEF), in partnership with Determined to Develop (D2D), continues to invest in early childhood education by supporting our four nursery schools with the essential materials they need for quality learning.

Recently, the committees from each nursery school were asked to prepare a list of items required to improve teaching and learning. They proposed that we support them with the most important things such as flip charts, notebooks, pencils, pens, markers, and many other teaching and learning materials. As WEF, we understood this need and we equally distributed them to all the four schools and we believe these will make a difference for a long time.

During the distribution at Tilipo Nursery School, Charles, Head of Programs at WEF, joined Amos, the Media Officer, to hand over the materials to the school committee. At every stop, the committees of respective schools expressed their gratitude and requested that we extend their thanks to all partners and supporters who made this possible. They appreciate for the efforts the partners put towards making meaningful impact in the lives of their young ones.

These materials will help teachers prepare lessons more effectively and ensure that learners have a better, smoother classroom experience. Early childhood education is the foundation of a child’s development, and we remain committed to giving every learner a strong start in order for them to grow into responsible members of the community.
